Most Rev. Dr. Peter Machado, the Archbishop of Bangalore and the President of Karnataka Regional Bishop’s Council and Karnataka Regional Commission for Education inaugurated the manual on “Karnataka Education Act, 1983 and Rules Made Thereunder” authored by Rev. Dr. Francis Assisi Almeida, the Secretary of Karnataka Regional Commission for Education (KRCE). This manual was prepared as a handbook for the educationists, heads of the institutions, staff and students and other stakeholders of the educational institutions. The manual outlines the Karnataka Education Act 1983 and the rules made thereunder. It also sheds light on some important State and Education Department circulars.
While inaugurating the manual, the archbishop expressed that such endeavours would enhance the efficiency of educators and heads of institutions in knowing the provisions of the Education Act and the rules made under those provisions. He thanked the author for bringing out valuable information through this manual. He also wished that by reading the manual all the heads of the institutions could empower themselves with the provisions of the Education Act to run the institutions efficiently.

Maxim Dias, the Regional Secretary for the Commission of BEC and Proclamation, Fr. Arokia Raj Satis Kumar, the Chancellor of Bangalore Diocese, Sr. Louiza, SJT the principal of Jyothi Nivas College, Sr. Alpana Palatty SND the principal of Sophia School, Mr. Nigel Fernades, the proprietor of ATC Publications, Mr. Kanthraj, the PRO of Bangalore Diocese, Prof. Nirmal Kumar, the Manager of ABE were present for the inauguration.

Congratulations to Rev. Dr. Augustine CMI of Christu Jayanthi group of institutions, Kothanur, Bengaluru for hosting 3 days seminar for the managers and heads of the institutions of PUC, Secondary and Higher Secondary schools.
It was attended by representatives of 21 states (131 delegates). I was privileged to share some important issues regarding educational institutions with them.
