The Objects for which the Society is established are :

  • (a) To establish, administer, run, take over and maintain educational institutions of all levels and types including educational institutions of professional courses and vocational training primarily for the benefit of Catholic Christian community which is a religious minority and at the same time also for the good of others irrespective of religion, caste or community with a special consideration for the economically and socially backward;
  • (b) To promote and safeguard the interest of all Catholic Educational Institutions;
  • (c) To represent to the Government and Public Bodies the problems of Catholic Educational Institutions;
  • (d) To promote education according to the Christian principles and values in keeping with the interest of social justice and national integration;
  • (e) To circulate and publish useful and worthwhile information relating to education;
  • (f) To safeguard the minority character of member institutions as guaranteed under Article 30 of the Constitution of India;
  • (g) To collaborate wherever and whenever possible with other minority institutions and Associations having similar objects;
  • (h) To do all such things as are necessary to meet the objects of the Society;
  • (i) To start or promote educational institutions;
  • (j) For the above purposes the Society may :-
    • (i) undertake any activity mentioned in sub-clauses (ii) to (x) herein or other similar activities ; and the income or benefit derived there from shall be entirely applied in furtherance of the above mentioned objects, and no parts of such income or benefit shall be applied for purposes other than as contemplated in the objects of the Society
    • (ii) raise, receive and accept any grants, gifts or donations, funds, properties moveable or immoveable etc.,
    • (iii) purchase or acquire by any other means property moveable or immoveable and build, construct, maintain, alter, enlarge, dismantle, remove or replace any buildings pertaining to educational institutions under the Society ;
    • (iv) improve, manage, cultivate, develop, sell, dispose of or otherwise deal with any part of the property moveable or immoveable belonging to the Society or dedicated to or held by the Society ;
    • (v) invest and deal with funds of the Society not immediately required and to withdraw such funds whenever necessary ;
    • (vi) advance money, donate or give credit to such educational institutions as may seem expedient to the Society ;
    • (vii) employ any personnel and other staff for the purpose of the functioning of the Society ;
    • (viii) enter into arrangements with any Government or Authority
    • (ix) whether Central, State, Provincial, Municipal, District, Local or otherwise that may seem conducive to accomplishing the objects of the Society or any of them, and to obtain from any such Government or Authority such rights, concessions and privileges as the Society may think desirable and to obtain and carry out, exercise and comply with any such arrangements, rights, privileges and concessions ;
    • (ix) develop and broaden internal policies and procedures of the Society in order to sustain and accelerate institutional growth and development.
    • (x) do all such other things as may be deemed incidental or conducive to attainment of the above objects or any of them
  • (k) The income of the Society by whatever means shall be utilized for the objects of the Society and shall not be distributed among its members or anybody else.
  • (l) The Secretary-cum-Treasurer of the Society is authorized to correspond with the Registrar of Societies, Bangalore, in all matters connected with the affairs of Karnataka Regional Commission for Education.
