The Catholic church in India and more so, the church in Karnataka is sensitive to the needs and problems of her children in the field of education. Even as she realizes the need for a good catholic education, she feels that education is a powerful instrument in spreading the kingdom values. She is aware that in India today globalization, privatization, commercialization, saffronization , environmental degradation , erosion of human values, fast changing science and technology is affecting education. She is therefore, striving to effectively and creatively respond to the challenges with hope - filled alternatives, in order to make the catholic school / college centre of ‘Good News’ for all, especially the poor. (Pastoral Plan – 2011-2014)
